Parish Register Publication cover thumbnailAs part of our Parish Register Transcription Project we are holding sessions in Bletchley for members to get involved in the project. So if you have a couple of hours to spare why not pop along.

In addition to helping with the project you will gain experience of parish registers and you never know you might find a lost relative or at least get a lead on where to research next!

This project has already transcribed most of the existing parish registers for Buckinghamshire. These sessions are intended for checking entries that have been transcribed prior to publication. All materials will be provided - just bring yourself

The parish register checking is now taking place under the guidance of Anne Watson at Bletchley. See Northern Group for details of the venue.

A few members also meet at the Centre of Buckinghamshire Studies contact Tony Sargeant for more details.

Why not pop along to one of the sessions? Maybe you have ancestors in one of the parishes being checked (or maybe "lost" ancestors from a nearby parish that you haven't found yet!). We have run these sessions in the past and most people find they are a lot of fun.
