BURNHAM HUNDRED From Sheahan 1861: This is an oddly shaped division of the coulty, resembling in some degree a figure of eight with the lower section much narrower than the other.

Latimer

Description of Latimer from J. J. Sheahan, 1861.

Latimer

Latimer is in the beautiful valley of the river Chess. The village is centred round a small triangular green, although the parish extends several miles in a mainly northerly direction.
