I CANNOT LOG IN

If you have registered and are unable to log in here are a few hints:

  • Check that you have typed the username and password correctly. The password is case sensitive.
  • Check that you are using the username and password for our main site and not the ones supplied for the on-line shop

If you still can not log in try requesting your password (see below). If you still have problems and require assistance please email website support who will be pleased to help you.


HOW DO I REGISTER?

Registration is open to all members of Buckinghamshire Family History Society. To register click on "Register"

You should then complete the form that is displayed. You can choose your own Username and Password for access to the site. This will generate a confirmation email to the email address that you have supplied. Once you have responded to the email we will validate your request for registration. This can take one or two days as we need to check against the latest list of members.

You will receive a final confirmation email once this has been completed and you will be able to access the members only areas of the website.

I HAVE LOST MY PASSWORD

If you have mislaid your password you can automatically generate a new one by clicking on "lost password?" on the front page of the website and supplying your username and email address. You will be emailed your password which can be used to access the site.

I CAN NOT REMEMBER MY USERNAME

Your username will have been chosen by you when you registered on the site. It will have been emailed to you as part of the registration confirmation process. If you cannot remember your username and have been unable to find the relevant email. Please contact website support who should be able to assist you. Please provide your name and membership number and also the email address used if this is not the email address used to contact us.

HOW CAN I CHANGE THE TEXT SIZE ON THE SITE?

This will depend on the browser that you are using:

  • Firefox - hold down the Control key and press the "+" key as many times as required to make the text bigger. Using the "-" key in the same way will make the text smaller.
  • Opera - press the "+" key as many times as required to make the text bigger. Using the "-" key in the same way will make the text smaller.
  • Konqueror - hold down the Control key and press the "+" key as many times as required to make the text bigger. Using the "-" key in the same way will make the text smaller.
  • Seamonkey - hold down the Control key and press the "+" key as many times as required to make the text bigger. Using the "-" key in the same way will make the text smaller.
  • Safari - hold down the Apple key and press the "+" key as many times as required to make the text bigger. Using the "-" key in the same way will make the text smaller.
  • Internet Explorer - hold down the Control key and press the "+" key as many times as required to make the text bigger. Using the "-" key in the same way will make the text smaller.
