The Woodlanders’ Lives and Landscapes Project has been investigating the lives of people who worked in the rural and domestic industries of the Central Chilterns in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
As part of this project, Woodlanders’ volunteers have collected census data for eighteen Chilterns villages and entered that data into easily searchable Excel spreadsheets. This is a great resource for anyone interested in social history, family history or local history. The Buckinghamshire Family History Society is now happy to host these spreadsheets, with explanatory guides and additional information, and to make them freely available to everyone.
YOU CAN USE THESE SPREADSHEETS FOR YOUR OWN SEARCHES AND ANALYSIS BUT YOU MUST FIRST DOWNLOAD THEM FROM THE BUCKINGHAMSHIRE FAMILY HISTORY SOCIETY WEBSITE AND SAVE THEM TO YOUR OWN DEVICE. THEREAFTER YOU ARE FREE TO SEARCH, SAVE OR MODIFY AS YOU WISH.
